Ease of Doing Research and Development in India: A Review

Written by an array of thirteen authors, viz., V. K. Saraswat, V.K. Singh, A. A. Sonkusare, Thyagaraju B.M., N. Suroor, S. Kaur, D. Narang, P. Chanana, T. Agarwal, A. Dhamija, S. Bhattacharya, P. Arora, and A. Kanaujia, this timely Report presents a compilation of various obstacles faced by R and D practitioners, along with a set of recommendations to address them. The insights for this report were gathered from an extensive consultation process comprising open-ended inputs, survey, regional consultative meetings, and a series of brainstorming sessions on “Ease of Doing R and D”. The Report is divided into four chapters, namely, Introduction; The Consultation Process; Challenges and Recommendations; and Charting the Road Ahead: Towards a Robust and Future-Ready R and D Ecosystem.
